From 2017, the Institute of Company Secretaries of India has developed a new curriculum for the CS Executive program. The syllabus was designed to give students a thorough understanding of corporate laws, regulations and procedures.

There are eight papers in the CS Executive New Syllabus. They are divided into two modules. The first module contains four papers and the second module has four.

Module 1:

Paper 1: Jurisprudence and Interpretation and General Laws (Paper 1): The purpose of this paper is to give a basic understanding about the legal framework as well as general laws that apply to the corporate world.
